Let me introduce you to the love of my life, Theodore aka Teddy. He is a rescue dog adopted from my local animal shelter and the best thing that has ever happened to me. I am his Mom (most importantly) but I am a lot of other things as well. I am single, living in a little apartment above my 95-year-old Sicilian Grandmother. I’m just trying to find my purpose in this crazy and confusing thing called life.
I have been told by multiple people that they wish they could be a fly on the wall in my tiny apartment. Why is that? Well, I’m not really sure other than the fact that I tell my true-life stories, never sugar coated. I’ve been known to fly by the seat of my pants at times. One of my life’s mottos is “Normal is Boring”. Not only is it boring, but it is exhausting to try and be the world’s definition of normal. So, I stopped trying. I’m just me, plain and simple. (But not ever really plain and simple).
These will be the stories of my life as a single dog mom, granddaughter, daughter, sister, aunt, striving career woman, animal rescue advocate and so much more. It amazes me that women can be so many things. Writing has always been a passion of mine that I have let fall to the wayside in recent years. I am feeling that my creativity is being stifled. Its time to let our creativity flow. Life is for living to its fullest. This is my attempt to do so. I hope you enjoy coming along with me for the ride.
